JPS Dance School
Established in April 2000 by Director Ms. Jiaping Shi, JPS Dance School is one of the largest, most prestigious
and most influential Chinese dance schools in the DFW area. The mission of JPS school was to be a home for Chinese
folk dance enthusiasts, develop dance talents and enrich the cultural life of our community. JPS dance school has
been an ambassador for Chinese art of dance and promoter of cultural exchanges between the East and the West since its founding.
JPS dance school has a staff of highly trained, experienced and professional teachers who are eager to impart their
knowledge and experience to our students. A talented and hard-working group of young dancers make up the JPS Dance Company.
Since its establishment, JPS school has been active in serving our communities. JPS Dance school performers have performed
in community organized Chinese Spring Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations. Our performers also perform in
Asian-American art festivals in Plano, Dallas and Fort Worth each year.
Our dance companies also frequently volunteer and perform at assisted living centers and nursing homes. Our
performers brought joy and laughter to the seniors via professionally choreographed traditional Chinese
folk dance program and their genuine passion for serving others. Their performance is always deeply appreciated
and highly praised by the audience.
JPS dance school has discovered and developed many outstanding dancers over the years.
Our past and current students have won numerous platinum, double platinum and high gold awards in major
dance competitions in the United States in the categories of solo dance, three-persons dance and group
dances. Our elite students have won top finisher awards in multiple national dance competitions.
With the efforts and dedications from both the teachers and students, JPS school has successfully
conducted nine large- scale dances exhibitions since 2002. JPS school also participated in hundreds of
large and medium-sized community performances, and won accolades and admiration from countless audiences.
